Terms of service & privacy
How service requests and quotes work, and what happens to the information you send us. Written in plain language, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.

Who we are
This website is operated by Maple Peak Plumbing, a plumbing contractor based in Maple, Vaughan, Ontario, serving the Greater Toronto Area and north to Barrie. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Maple Peak Plumbing, and "you" means anyone using this website or contacting us through it.
You can reach us at 437-972-3137 or [email protected].
Using this website
The information on this site is general and provided for your convenience. Plumbing systems vary from building to building, and nothing here is a diagnosis of your specific problem or a substitute for an on-site inspection by a qualified plumber.
We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we don't guarantee it will be free of errors or uninterrupted. Prices, service descriptions and membership details may change; the version shown when you make a request is the one we'll work from.
Sending us a service request
Submitting our contact form, emailing us or calling us is a request for service, not a confirmed booking. A booking exists only once we have confirmed it with you directly and given you an arrival window.
By sending a request you confirm that the information you provide is accurate, and that you are the property owner or are authorised to arrange work at that address.
We may decline or refer a request — because of scheduling, location, or because the work falls outside what we do. If that happens we'll tell you rather than leave you waiting.
Emergencies
Do not use the contact form to report an emergency. Form submissions are not monitored continuously and we cannot guarantee how quickly one will be seen. For a burst pipe, flooding, no water or sewage backing up, call 437-972-3137, which is answered 24 hours a day.
If water is escaping, shut off your main water valve first. If you smell gas, leave the building and call your gas utility and emergency services before calling us.
Quotes and pricing
We diagnose before we price. Any figure given before we have seen the problem — over the phone, by email, or in reply to a form — is an indication only and is not binding.
The price we give you after diagnosis is the price you approve before work starts. If we open something up and find the job is materially different from what we quoted, we stop and re-quote rather than continuing and adding it to the invoice.
Labour and materials are itemised separately. Parts, fixtures and materials are billed in addition to labour and are not covered by membership discounts.
Membership plans
Full membership terms are set out on our membership page and form part of these terms. In summary: discounts apply to repair labour only; new installations, full replacements and renovation projects are billed at standard rates; materials and parts are never covered; both plans carry a six-month minimum term and then continue month to month, cancellable by phone or email effective at the end of the current billing month with no cancellation fee; and included visits reset each membership year and do not roll over.
Workmanship warranty
Our workmanship warranty covers our own labour, for the period attached to your membership plan or quote. Parts, fixtures and appliances carry their manufacturer's warranty, which we will point you to on your invoice.
The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, freezing, work altered by others, or the failure of components we did not supply or install.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Subject to that, our liability arising from work performed is limited to the amount you paid us for that work, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost income or loss of use.
We are not liable for pre-existing defects we did not cause, or for consequences of a repair you declined or deferred after we recommended it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes fall to the courts of Ontario.
Nothing here removes rights you have under Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The "last updated" date above shows when. The version published when you submit a request is the version that applies to it.
Privacy policy
This section explains what we collect through this website, why, and what control you have. It is written to reflect our obligations under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What we collect
Through our contact form we collect what you choose to enter — typically your name, phone number, email address, service address, and a description of your plumbing issue. If you arrive from a membership button, we also record which plan you were looking at.
We do not ask for payment card details, banking information or government identification through this website, and you should never send those to us by email or through the form.
Why we collect it
To respond to your request, quote the work, schedule a visit, carry out the job, invoice you, and keep a service history for your property. We also use it to answer warranty questions later.
Consent and marketing messages
By submitting the form you consent to us contacting you about that request, by phone, text or email. That is the purpose you gave us the information for.
Separately from that, we will only send you marketing or promotional messages — offers, seasonal reminders, membership promotions — if you have opted in to receive them. Every marketing message includes an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time by using it or by emailing us. Withdrawing marketing consent does not affect our ability to contact you about work in progress.
Who else handles your information
Our contact form and customer records run on GoHighLevel (HighLevel Inc.), which stores and processes submissions on our behalf. Data may be stored on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, and may be subject to the laws of those countries.
This site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, which involves a request to Google's servers. We do not run advertising trackers or sell your information to anyone, ever.
How long we keep it
We keep service records for as long as needed to support warranty claims, meet tax and business record obligations, and maintain your service history. Requests that never became a job are kept for a shorter period and then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable time.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you send us. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please call rather than write if something is genuinely sensitive.
